THE RETROSIC - GOD OF HELL
The Retrosic "God of Hell" Album Review
THE CHILD DEVIANT
This is a great record...one of the best records on the Metropolis label. THE RETROSIC are a band of six talented musicians who bounce around this album from electro-industrial dance beats such as "Storm", "ManEater", "New World Order", and "Antichrist" to slow and brooding songs such as "Elysium", and "Passion". To give you an idea of the music on this album....imagine that WUMPSCUT and DEAD CAN DANCE were thrown into an ellevator and forced to make a record together. THE RETROSIC'S GOD OF HELL is an excellent electro/industrial/ album with some verry well composed moments of gothic drama. BTW, there is also a really cool video for the song "Storm" included on this disc.
KX - TALES OF AGONY
Kx "Tales of Agony" Album Review
Album Description
in an era clogged with indecision and such a non promising industry of trends and over reactive fashion, Kx has organized musical material to explore the unusual and darker side of the human mind. The quest for injecting a new taste in the currrent and ever repeatitive heavy music sceene, merged with technological mayhem and a trully angry and revolted mind, have resulted in a single massive blend of machinery and emotion. enter the age of no future. these are our "Tales of Agony". <P>lending their talents as special guests on "tales of agony" are biohazard's own "evan seinfeld", staten island rapper "reble dainja" and brazilian pop icon and piano virtuoso "guilherme arantes".

GOD LIVES UNDERWATER - UP OFF THE FLOOR
God Lives Underwater "Up Off the Floor" Album Review
Amalgamation of synthesized & raw sound
Oh man. God Lives Udnerwater IS THE BEST BAND YOU'VE NEVER HEARD. BRIEF HISTORY:Man, they released empty in 1995 on the american recordings label, then went to 1500 and released Life Int he So-called Space-Age, but then the label went under bankruptcy, then the band had issues, went their separate ways, in the meantime dave released the 7 ep by fluzee and Living in syn by Robot Teen America (basically all him) and then FINALLY in 2004 he released this, UP OFF THE FLOOR, on megaforce records (...) and his solo EP, INSIDE on corporatepunishment.
ALBUM SOUND: Very emotional. Unlike many artists that get to their 3rd album beoming more and more cold and cut off from their audience emotionally, GLU got so deep and so raw with their klyrics and layered sound. its a beautifully diverse mix of (to sum up quickly) Rock and Electronica. There are breakbeats, scratches, fades, many quiky digital sounds, but mixed together coherently with melodious vocals, heavy guitars and drumbeats. Way more content than the amount of layers or sound in, say, a Brian Eno album. The guitars are elaborate and mesmerizing, almost storylike in quality like smashing pumpkins' Earphoria or Siamese Dream. The songs are the usual length, unlike on LITSCSA, where a few go on for over 8 minutes. THe songs are all in the same general range (in terms of genre) but they dont all sound the same, they all have their own little moods. Great album.
You dont have to be a hardcore fan to enjoy this. buy one and one for a friend. its really good stuff.
Video George Michael - 2# ♫ Fame ♫ (Rock in Rio 25-01-91)
Official Page: http://www.georgemichael.com/ "♪ ♫ ♪ George Michael and Wham! Fans ♪ ♫ ♪" : http://www.youtube.com/group/GeorgeMichaelWham Rock in Rio II ♫ Fame ♫ "Fame" is a song recorded by David Bowie. With the Young Americans sessions seemingly wrapped in late 1974, the material was delayed while Bowie extricated himself from his contract with manager Tony DeFries. During this time he was staying in New York, and met John Lennon. The pair socialised and jammed together, which led to a one-day session at The Power Plant studio in January 1975. There, Bowie contacted several members of his tour band. Firstly a cover of The Beatles' "Across the Universe" was recorded. Then a new song called "Fame," inspired by a guitar riff written by Carlos Alomar and with the title from Lennon, was then hurriedly developed by Bowie, and recorded. Both tracks were then added to the Young Americans album. Despite having only a minor contribution, Lennon was given a co-writing credit due to the lyrics (bemoaning the nature of celebrity) being inspired by conversations he had with Bowie on the subject, and because Bowie acknowledged that Lennon singing "Fame!" over Alomar's guitar riff was the catalyst for the song. An edited version of "Fame" was issued as the second single from the album, and shot to number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (ironically, a few months before a reissue of "Space Oddity" would give Bowie his first UK number-one single). In the UK, "Fame" would only reach number seventeen. Released: 18 August 1975 Cover hierarchy : ●Fame by David Bowie (March 1975) ●Fame by Infectious Grooves (1993) ●Fame by George Michael - Live recording and on the album I'm Your Man (1993) ●Fame by Vanilla Ice - Mind Blowin' (1994) ●Fame by Duran Duran (1997) ●Fame by The String Quartet (August 13, 2002) ●Fame by God Lives Underwater - Up Off the Floor (2004)
